E-mobility in the trade: Test drive with Sortimo and Mercedes-Benz

Sortimo, together with Mercedes-Benz Vans, is now offering interested businesses the opportunity to test electric powered eVito panel vans with a high-quality racking system. The vehicles are provided by Mercedes-Benz Automotive and can be rented at the Sortimo Innovation Centre in Zusmarshausen. There, Europe's largest charging park with 72 charging points has been created in 2021 in the immediate vicinity of the A8 motorway. The aim of the campaign is to inspire new customers from the various trades to test electric vehicles to gather direct feedback.

With the unbeatable offer from Sortimo and Mercedes-Benz Vans, tradesmen can now put an eVito equipped with an SR5 in-vehicle equipment to the test in their everyday work. For a period of up to two weeks, the Mercedes-Benz eVito can be rented directly at the Sortimo Innovation Centre in Zusmarshausen for the one-off price of just €56 per week (plus VAT). Sortimo in-vehicle equipment SR5 also available as an in VanSolution in autumn

The eVito will be equipped by Sortimo with the SR5 racking system, which will be available ex works as a VanSolution from autumn. The SR5 in-vehicle equipment from Sortimo offers maximum use of cargo space and the best possible overview in the vehicle thanks to various organisational elements. The Sortimo EcoSystem ensures consistent compatibility of the racks with common tool boxes as well as with the practical ProClick tool bag system. SR5 can be extended with individual accessories. The load compartment is lined to protect the bodywork and thus preserve its value. In addition, the load floor is already provided with connection points for an additional shelf, making subsequent installation cost-effective. 

The Mercedes-Benz eVito panel van: perfect for trade and commerce

The eVito was successfully launched on the market in 2018 and, as a panel van, received a comprehensive update of the electric drivetrain (eATS) and a new battery with a usable capacity of 60 kWh at the end of last year. With a range of 242-314 kilometres and fast charging as standard, the van appeals to a wide range of users in commercial goods transport.The eVito is available in two lengths and with a load volume of up to 6.6 m³. In order to charge its battery even while driving using an intelligent operating strategy, the eVito panel van offers various recuperation levels. The DAUTO regeneration level enables a particularly efficient and comfortable driving style. According to the maxim "drive with foresight and save energy", information is networked and the strength of the regeneration is adjusted specifically in real time. In addition, three driving programs help the customer to choose individually and at the touch of a button between maximum comfort and maximum range during the journey. For customers who need more space or loading space, Mercedes-Benz Vans also has a suitable vehicle in its portfolio in the form of the eSprinter.
