Sortimo presents SR5A: The lightest professional van racking system on the market

Under the motto "Intelligent Service Solutions" Sortimo will be presenting modern product solutions and digital services at IAA Transportation 2022 that support customers in not only increasing their productivity and profitability, but also in achieving their ambitious goals in the areas of environment and sustainability. One highlight here is an innovation on the popular Sortimo 5th generation racking system (SR5), which will be available from spring 2023 as an extremely lightweight and robust aluminum variant, or SR5A for short.

In order to keep pace with the constantly growing customer demands for economical and sustainable products and services, the entire Sortimo product portfolio undergoes continuous optimization processes. With the SR5A, the traditional company from Zusmarshausen offers a future-oriented product that appeals to customers at all levels. It is made of particularly light, robust and 100% recyclable aluminum, which is also used in the aerospace industry and easily withstands even the highest stresses, as well as being particularly corrosion-resistant. 

Weight savings bring decisive competitive advantages

With up to 25% weight savings compared to the standard version of the SR5, the SR5A is the lightest professional racking system on the market. All known advantages of the SR5 generation remain and a complete implementation into the Sortimo EcoSystem is guaranteed. Due to the reduced weight, the SR5A is suitable for both electrified and conventional transport vehicles and scores twice: The extra payload is a benefit for every customer who is confronted with the increased weight of their electric vehicles. At the same time, customers with combustion engines reduce their fuel consumption, thereby lowering their CO2 emissions and improving their eco-balance.
